The Misdemeanor Team is charged with prosecuting all the adult misdemeanors committed in unincorporated areas of Salt Lake County. Misdemeanor prosecutors face the challenge of prosecuting a wide variety of cases, from traffic cases and DUIs to assaults and retail thefts. This requires attorneys to be experts in the prosecution of many different types of crimes.
As the most common type of crimes are misdemeanors, the prosecutors of the Misdemeanor Team play a vital role in keeping our community an enjoyable inviting place to live.
