Investigations
The Investigations Division serves the County by preparing criminal cases for trial. Division investigators locate, identify, and gather evidence and witnesses for trial; investigate police use of force; aid police agencies with cold case investigations; track down and arrest suspects; and investigate criminal matters as directed by the District Attorney.

The Investigations Division consists of a chief, two assistant chiefs, thirteen investigators, seven agents, two analysts, two legal secretaries, one staff secretary, and one staff attorney. Each agent and investigator is a certified peace officer. The Division has a vast range of experience and expertise in technical and specialty areas that cover the full spectrum of criminal investigation.
