The attorneys and support staff of the Domestic Violence Team (DV Team) are committed to combating the corrosive nature of domestic violence. They rigorously prosecute destructive crimes such as spousal and elder abuse, DV related rape and murder, and more. The DV Team handles all of the felony domestic violence cases in Salt Lake County and the misdemeanor cases in the unincorporated areas of the County.
The sensitive nature of domestic violence cases requires a specific expertise. The members of the DV Team posses specialized training which facilitates holding offenders accountable while ensuring that offenders and victims alike have access to the help needed to make positive change.
